When it comes to eyewear, designer glasses have managed to create a solid reputation despite the brand’s somewhat simplistic design. Though the Danish brand is surely capable of creating fancy and intricately crafted “jewels” for the eyes-as demonstrated by the rare and exclusive Precious Collection showcased in India in 2011-Lindberg is well-loved by spectacles – wearing folks who prefer the perfect balance of function and seamless style when it comes to their prescription glasses.

The company’s designer glasses are distinguished by their hingeless/screwless frames that achieve a completely flawless and polished look. When people wear them, oftentimes it appears like they don’t even have glasses on. The thin, lightweight titanium frames barely cast a shadow on the face and the clear lenses with anti-reflection treatment are virtually invisible. Meanwhile, coloured acetanium frames are handcrafted by optical experts to best accentuate distinct facial features so that wearers do not feel like they are hiding their faces behind something.

Some people may think that the somewhat fragile appearance and make-up of the frames makes them unsuitable for certain prescription lenses such as reading lenses, thick single vision lenses, bifocals and varifocals, but that is not the case at all. Titanium, though incredibly lightweight, is one of the strongest metals available out there and many have even claimed that they are practically indestructible – it is even used in building skyscrapers! The mere fact that they have chosen it as the signature material for its eyeglasses is solid proof of its commitment to optical innovation and dedication to making eyewear that will last wearers a really long time.

This could probably be one of the strong reasons why the brand is more inclined to focus on classic designs that have style longevity-because they know that their frames will definitely outlast trends. Or perhaps, they really sets itself apart as a brand by focusing more on the natural features of the wearer instead of masking the face. No matter, the brand upholds its unique charm and eyeglass-wearing individuals who appreciate impeccable quality consider it the top choice for their vision correction needs.

The price for a pair of handcrafted glasses can be rather steep but many find it a completely worthwhile investment for eyewear that will last them an incredibly long time.

Tag Heuer is well known for its unquestionable skill in making timepieces that earned the brand its many patents and Silmo Gold awards. The leading and unconventional character that the company dedicates in making these timepieces is also seen in their glasses. Although relatively new to the eyewear industry, the brand’s out-of-the-box philosophy and integration of new technology with classic style set it apart from the competition. The spectacles give out a certain aura of contemporary sophistication that very few can offer and even fewer have perfected.

To get the most of what the company has to offer or to find out first-hand what exactly is making people want to buy them, you should only purchase original merchandise and not those substandard, lower-priced copies; they may be less expensive but they’re bound to fall apart after a short period of time. You can make sure that you are getting authentic items by checking the store’s legitimacy, which is actually easier than most people think. This is because most legitimate stores nowadays have websites that can give you the information you need like certifications and authorisations to market products from different labels.

The brand’s eyewear collections are adored by many people all over the world because of certain features incorporated in the products. To experience the best field of vision one can get from an eyewear, you might want to try the Panorama models; these are also available for those that require prescription lenses. Photochromic lenses are also great for people who are sensitive to light; these lenses actually sense the amount of light present and changes accordingly to help you see better. This means that when its too bright, the lenses darken to provide protection and when it gets dark, they lighten your field of vision.

If you are looking to get the quintessence of this brand, you could go for the brand’s Track S collection. The eyewear pieces are engineered to perfection to provide the ultimate combination of function and fashion that the company strives for in every item they release. Using their patented technology, they developed eyewear that can be worn for the liveliest activities, but can still be elegant enough to be used during more formal occasions.

They can inform you about the different models from the eyewear collection and the different lenses available as well as give you great offers. Click here to learn more.

Upselling? You would often hear about this in entrepreneurship seminars or from your business coaches or textbooks.

But by this I don’t mean ‘bait and switch tactics’ – telling them a low price and then hitting them with a much higher price when you get there. By upselling I mean selling your clients more stuff.

Don’t think of upselling as a way to squeeze more money out of your clients. Only add services that provide value and improve the quality of your clients system.

For example, your client needs a new furnace. You could just stop there but think of all the other improvements you could make. Maybe the first upsell would be a more efficient furnace. Next, a programmable thermostat to provide your client even more energy savings. Or maybe an electronic air cleaner or a humidifier.

All of these products add comfort and improve the air quality. Maybe new ductwork is in order to improve air flow to certain rooms. While we’re at it, it could be the best time to also replace the central air conditioner. How about a ground source heat pump? The list just goes on and on.

Another upsell would be an annual service contract or perhaps an annual duct cleaning if you offer that service. Never use scare tactics to upsell such as “without a CO detector you could die from carbon monoxide poisoning”. But be sure the client knows all the advantages of the upsell products.

Overwhelm them with the benefits of the additional services and products you offer. Give them tons and tons of proof. It is usually better to have too much than not enough. Educate your clients and they’ll usually make the best decision. Following this section is an example of a letter that can be used to upsell various products. This particular letter is for electronic air cleaners but the style could be adopted for other products too.

Preferably, mail a letter like the one that follows with something you are already mailing to your Clients. This way your postage is minimal to none and all the sales are profits. This letter will sell electronic air cleaners. Plus, after receiving it many people will call for other services you offer. It may generate as much other business as it does electronic air cleaners. It is easy to do a similar type letter for programmable thermostats or similar products.

The sample letter for an upsell that I talked about earlier, would be in Part 2 of this article series.
